National College Decision Day…Presenting the Class of 2019

Published on May 1, 2019

National College Decision Day

When we talk about “D Day” around here, we are most often referring to Decision Day, May 1.

And while it in no way compares to the actual D Day, there are many high school seniors (and their parents) who would admit to feeling more than a little battle worn on this day.

Congratulations to ALL of them!  It’s been quite a journey, and you’ve reached a major milestone in your lives.

The video above celebrates the students of families from our Paying For College 101 Facebook group who will make up the Class of 2019.

Here are some comments from group members on their feelings about the Paying For College 101 group….

“This group has been so informative.

Thank you for being there through this journey.

I am so proud of all the kids that will be taking part in National Decision Day 2019.

You are ready to take the next step to a wonderful future”????

“May I also say thank you to everyone in this group and to the awesome administrators!

This group has been my lifeline (and possibly an obsession????).

I learned so much from all of you and though I found this group a bit late in the game, it was a wealth of information.

1 down and 2 more to go so I’ll be around for awhile. TY!”

“It’s official!

My son decided on his school!

Full tuition scholarship!

Which we probably wouldn’t have even heard about, if not for this group.

I have learned so much from this group in the past year. Thank you all!!”

“Happy Decision Day!

My son has decided to decline all of his college acceptances and learn a trade (carpentry) instead.

He is not a person that likes to sit at a desk all day, and he truly felt college wasn’t the right path for him (at this time anyway).

I’m incredibly proud of him and all that he has accomplished thus far.

To everyone walking a different path, be proud.

You are all valuable and needed/wanted.”

We hope to continue helping families through the financial decisions once in college and after graduation.

Unfortunately, getting into college is just the beginning.
