The Custom College Money List provides a list of colleges most likely to offer more generous need and/or merit based aid*. Our analysis is based on your specific criteria, such as preferred school size, location, academic major, test scores, GPA, and expected family contribution or income.
Your custom list will include 50 – 60 colleges that are likely candidates based on your answers to our questions about your student’s academic profile and your family financial situation. If there are not 50 colleges that meet all your requirements, we’ll include colleges that meet most (but not all) your requirements and label them accordingly. Also included are colleges with published merit scholarships for which your student is eligible.
The purpose of this list building service is eliminate the hours of work it might take a family to do this research and also provide access to data about colleges that is hard to compile through existing college search websites.
This is not meant to be a final college list. The goal of the list is to provide colleges that are likely to be the most affordable because they offer financial aid (need, merit, or both) and are good candidates for further research. We believe financial viability needs to be the first filter by which families narrow down a list of colleges. After creating a list of financially viable colleges, students and parent should research other aspects of fit, such as academic and social.
