AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship Essay Contest

Amount: $5,000

Apply by: April 1, 2024 

Description: This is an annual competition for college-bound high school seniors.  Applicants are asked to write a 1,200 to 1,500-word essay that describes the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on themselves, their families or their communities, and what they have learned in light of coping with the brain disorder.

Aircraft Electronics Association Scholarship

Amount: Varies

Apply by: April 1, 2024

Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors and current college students who plan to or are majoring in an aviation field.

American Indian Services Scholarship

Amount: Varies

Apply by: April 1, 2024

Description: Applicant must be one-quarter (1/4) Northern-Native American Indian and enrolled in undergraduate studies at a university, junior college, or technical school. Applicant must have at least a 2.25 GPA.

Steinberg Law Firm Scholarship Program

Amount: $1,000

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning in the fall. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to moral leadership.

Religious Scholars Program

Amount: $5,000

Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled in a full-time, graduate, or doctorate religious studies program at an accredited theological seminary, college, or university of higher learning, for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.

American Legion Baseball Scholarship

Amount: Up to $5,000

Description: Open to high school graduates who play baseball and are nominated by a head coach or manager.

American Legion Legacy Scholarship

Amount: Varies up to $20,000

Apply by: April 10, 2024

Description: Scholarship is open to children of fallen post-9/11 service members, and VA-rated, post-9/11 veterans with a disability of 50 percent or higher. Applicants must be graduating high school this year or a current college student.

Club Z! Annual Achievement Award

Description: Scholarship is open to students in grades 5-12 who have overcome obstacles, shown leadership in the classroom or on the field, or who demonstrated improvement and a positive attitude this year.

ESA Scholarships for Children of First Responders – Ohio

Amount: $1,000

Description: Open to graduating high school seniors in Ohio who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university in the fall. Applicant’s parent must be a full-time paid, active duty law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, or EMT (public sector).

Eye on the Future Video Contest

Description: Open to high school students who submit a video showing why science is important to them.

Description: Scholarship is open to women enrolled full-time as college juniors, seniors, or graduate students who are pursuing a career in commercial real estate.

Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

Description: Award is open to students between the ages of eight and 18  currently residing in the U.S. or Canada, who must be currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months.

Nebraska Bowties and Books Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students enrolled in an accredited four-year university/college, or currently enrolled in a two-year college and planning to transfer to a four-year college/university. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, hold permanent residency or be a DACA recipient. Applicant must submit an essay on why they are attending the college they are/will be attending.

Description: Open to all students whose parents did not graduate from college (including community college or a college in a foreign country) and have been accepted or enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college.

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current undergraduate students who are in a design or art discipline and intend to pursue that discipline as a career. The scholarship is open for anyone who fits the criteria, however, minority students will have an advantage in the selection process.
