These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Destination U, Inc., doing business as Road2College (“Road2College,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of road2college.com, insights.road2college.com, compareoffers.road2college.com, our tools, reports, webinars, emails, paid services, and any other site or service we operate that links to these Terms (together, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who can use the Services
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf, to create a paid account or purchase any product or service.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the Services are for your personal, non-commercial use.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity under your account. Please tell us right away at support@road2college.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Information, not advice
Road2College provides general educational information about college admissions and paying for college. Our content, tools, reports, data, webinars, and coaching are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a licensed professional who knows your situation.
College costs, financial aid, loan terms, and policies change often. While we work to keep our information accurate, we do not guarantee that any content is complete, current, or error free, or that you will receive any particular admissions decision, scholarship, or financial aid outcome. 4. Advertising, partners, and affiliate links
Road2College is supported in part by advertising, sponsorships, and partnerships. We may be paid by companies whose products or services appear on our Services, including lenders and other financial services companies, and we may earn a fee when you click a link or apply for a product. Sponsored content is identified as such. Compensation may affect where and how products appear, but it does not change our editorial opinions.
Road2College is not a lender and does not make loans or credit decisions. Any loan or financial product you apply for is offered by a third party under that company’s own terms. Road2College is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education.
5. Content you submit
Some Services let you submit information, such as financial aid offers, admissions results, test scores, GPA, household income ranges, comments, and other content (“User Content”). You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the right to share it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
By submitting User Content, you grant Road2College a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to store, copy, analyze, aggregate, combine with other data, create derivative works from, display, publish, and otherwise use your User Content to operate, improve, and promote the Services and to create research, reports, tools, and datasets.
When we publish or share data based on User Content, we do so in aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you personally, except as described in our Privacy Policy or with your permission. We may remove or decline to display any User Content at our discretion.
6. Our content and data
The Services and everything in them, including articles, reports, data, datasets, databases, rankings, tools, software, designs, logos, and the Road2College name, are owned by Road2College or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, database, and other laws. Except for the limited rights in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
Citing our research. Journalists, researchers, counselors, and educators may quote or cite individual findings from our published reports and data with clear attribution to Road2College and a link to the original page.
What requires our written permission. You may not, without our prior written permission:
- Reproduce, republish, or distribute our reports, tables, rankings, or datasets in whole or in substantial part;
- Use our content or data in a product or service you sell or offer commercially;
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or use any automated means to collect content or data from the Services;
- Use our content or data to train, fine-tune, or build artificial intelligence or machine learning models or datasets; or
- Use the Road2College name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.

7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
- Submit false, misleading, or another person’s information without permission;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or try to gain unauthorized access to the Services or our systems;
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Services, except as allowed by law;
- Share your paid account access with others or resell access to the Services; or
- Harass, threaten, or post abusive content about others.
8. R2C Insights subscriptions
Plans and billing. R2C Insights is offered as a monthly or annual subscription. Fees are billed in advance at the start of each billing period, and you are responsible for applicable taxes.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. We will tell you the price and renewal terms before you purchase, and we will notify you in advance of any price change.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account profile or by emailing support@road2college.com. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before your renewal date. When you cancel, all future renewal charges stop, and you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where required by law. Any refund or credit we choose to offer is at our discretion and does not obligate us to offer one in the future.
9. 1-on-1 services
For essay coaching, college counseling, and other 1-on-1 services:
- You may receive a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not submitted an intake form and no coach has been assigned.
- Once you submit an intake form, a $50 non-refundable administrative fee applies to any refund.
- Once coaching or services have begun, no refunds are available.
To request a refund, email support@road2college.com. Coaching sessions not used within the time frame stated at purchase may expire.
10. Third-party sites, services, and communities
The Services may link to or embed third-party websites, products, and tools, including lender and partner sites. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, terms, or privacy practices, and you use them at your own risk.
Road2College operates the Paying for College 101 community on Facebook. Your participation there is also governed by Facebook’s terms and the group’s rules. Information you share when joining or posting may be used as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Communications
By creating an account, registering for an event, or providing your email address, you agree to receive emails from us about the Services, including newsletters and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. We may still send you transactional or account-related messages.
12. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent that includes: your physical or electronic signature; a description of the copyrighted work; the location of the material on our Services; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

13. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR FREE.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROAD2COLLEGE AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY DECISION YOU MAKE BASED ON THEM.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Road2College and its officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your User Content, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or the rights of another person.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections 5, 6, and 13 through 19 survive termination.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date, and for material changes we will provide notice by email or on the Services. Changes apply going forward. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Assignment
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, your account, and related information, including User Content, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law, and these Terms will bind and benefit our successors.
19. Governing law and general terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any terms presented at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
