College isn’t cheap. College students know that, parents know that, and thankfully, so do many businesses. There are many discounts for college students that your child can take advantage of. Here is a list of student deals, student discounts, and free things for college students.

 

Food

Arby’s

Students can receive 10 percent off their meal. To receive this, present a college ID.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Many locations offer 10 percent off for students. To receive this discount, simply ask the server!

Chick Fil A

Students can receive a small drink for free with additional purchases when they present their student ID. 

Chipotle

Students can receive a free small drink with additional purchases. To receive this, present a student ID at checkout. 

Dairy Queen

Many locations offer 10 percent off when students present their college ID at the register. 

Qdoba

Qdoba offers a free drink with additional purchases when a student ID is presented. Some locations offer $5 burritos.

Waffle House

Students can save 10 percent off orders by showing the server a student ID at Waffle House.

 

Clothing

Aeropostale

Students can receive 10 percent off their total purchase. To access this discount, verify student status on UNiDAYS, an app that connects students to student discounts at a variety of stores. 

ASOS

Students can sign up to get 10 percent off at any time. There are also additional discounts, like 15 percent off during back to school, so keep checking back. 

Goodwill

College discounts will vary based on Goodwill location. To claim these discounts, ask your local Goodwill and verify college-student status with a student ID. 

J Crew

College students can receive 15 percent off their total purchase. To claim, present a student ID at checkout.

Levi’s 

Students can receive 15 percent off when their student status is verified through UNiDAYS.

Madewell

Students can receive 15 percent off anything in stores. To do this, provide proof of student status at checkout.

Nike

There is a Nike student discount where students can submit their email address and receive 10 percent to 20 percent off Nike purchases.

PINK

College students can receive 15 percent off their purchase. 

Under Armour

College students can receive 10 percent off their purchase.

 

Beauty

bioClarity

The vegan skincare line bioClarity offers students 15 percent off their first order with the promo code “STUDENT15”

Mac Makeup

After joining UNiDAYS for student discounts, students can receive codes for 10 percent off Mac Cosmetics products. 

 

Services

The New York Times

Students can have a New York Times print subscription for 50 percent off. Digital subscriptions for students are free for the first four weeks and then 1 dollar each week after that. 

Spotify/Hulu/Showtime

Students can receive 50 percent off a Spotify prescription, which includes a HULU and ShowTime subscription.

The Wall Street Journal

Students can receive a digital subscription to the Wall Street Journal for only $4 a month. 

Cinemark

Student discounts at Cinemark vary, but participating locations offer discounts at the register, just ask. 

Adobe

Adobe offers a university student discount where students can receive 60 percent off their purchase of the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Amazon Student

College students can get a free six-month Amazon Prime trial. Memberships for students after the trial is just $6.49 a month. 

 

Technology

Apple

Apple provides a variety of discounts for students of all grade levels, including an Apple college student discount. In 2021, students, parents of students, and school staff can receive a $400 discount on an iMac Pro desktop and $100 off select iPads. There is also a MacBook discount for college students where Apple offers $200 off on MacBook laptops, and extended trials and discounts on student music and Apple TV+, according to Business Insider. Best Buy

The Best Buy college discount allows students to sign up for an email list and receive promo codes. 

This incomplete list of student discounts at national chains is just the tip of the iceberg. Local retailers and restaurants often have their own deals. It’s a good habit for your student to carry their ID and ask at every establishment they visit if it offers deals to college students.
